DJ Dave has been entertaining folks for over 35 years now. He started learning his craft in 1988 after he graduated from the CT School of Broadcasting. He immediately started working for a disc jockey company out of New Haven, CT DJing an oldies show at Vic’s Cafe in North Haven and playing private parties too. In January 1990 he started his own business, Sounds by Hoff Disc Jockey Service. Besides playing all over New England, he has done private parties in NYC and has had the pleasure of playing for Marisa Tomei, Ben Stiller, Matthew Broderick, Billy Joel, William Baldwin, Mick Fleetwood and the late John F Kennedy Jr, just to name a few. He also opened for Melissa Etheridge in Los Angeles at an event to raise money for Lou Gehrig’s disease. In 2000, Dave DJ'd for Dave Matthews at his closing tour private party at Giants Stadium in NJ.

 

He first came to Vermont in 1996 to be the resident disc jockey at the Wobbly Barn, a job he held for an unprecedented 12 years. He since has played at all the top clubs in the area like the Pickle Barrel, Jax Food & Games, Outback Pizza, Center Street Alley, Clear River Tavern and many more. He had an "All-Request DJ Night" at Moguls Sports Pub every Friday night for 10 years. He currently is the Events DJ for both Killington Resort and Okemo Mountain. 

 

From 2004-2006, Dave was the Manager of Entertainment for American Ski Company's East Coast Resorts consisting of Killington, Mount Snow, Sunday River and Sugarloaf. He put on concerts with Little Feat, War, G Love and Special Sauce, Blue Oyster Cult and a bunch more. In January 2006 he opened up Artist Entertainment Agency. AEA books solo artists and bands at some of the top clubs on the East Coast including the Wobbly Barn, the Pickle Barrel, Ned Devine's and The Harp in Boston and Sloppy Joes in Key West. Besides nightclubs and concerts, AEA can handle all your wedding needs from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the reception and after-hours party. They have some of the best musicians in the area from solo to 8 piece bands. Whatever kind of music you like, they'll get for you from pop, rock, country, bluegrass, funk and r&b. If you can't decide between a DJ and a band, get both. AEA has affordable band/DJ combos that will beat the price of some bands alone. AEA can also provide karaoke systems with host, rental equipment of sound systems, uplighting and ceremony sound systems with wireless mics. 

 

DJ Dave been DJing weddings for over 35 years and never has an empty dance floor. He'll work with each couple personally to meet their needs because it's your wedding and he wants to make it the best day ever. He can and will play it all from the 40's to hits from today. Wherever he plays, people love the fact that he does what a lot of DJ’s today don’t do and that is take requests and also play them. He also is a great game show host. He hosted a Minute To Win It show for 8 years in Killington, Nantucket and Lake George. He currently runs music bingo, which he calls "Name That Tune Bingo", every Monday night at Rivershed Killington and every other Thursday at the Public House Pub in Quechee.

His latest game show is trivia and family feud, just like you see on TV with an answer screen, buzzers and a host. That is great for rehearsal dinners, after-wedding parties, engagement parties, corporate events, team building, and a whole lot more. DJ Dave is also a great promoter, whether he's promoting his own gigs or others in the area, he knows how to get the word out. He is the best "Master of Ceremonies" around. He prides himself in making sure good times will be had by all.
